I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Yale University.
My research interests broadly encompass immigration, race/ethnicity, education, politics, culture, and social inequality. I have multiple ongoing projects that examine the social and symbolic boundaries of national and ethnoracial group membership in the United States. My work draws primarily on quantitative methods, and I frequently engage in original data collection employing survey experiments.
My articles are published or forthcoming in academic outlets such as the American Journal of Sociology, Sociology of Education, and International Migration Review, and they have received multiple awards from the American Sociological Association and the American Educational Research Association. My research has been supported by the Time-sharing Experiments for the Social Sciences, the Russell Sage Foundation, the Rapoport Family Foundation, and the ASA's Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant.
